Welcome to my page.
Driven by a passion for movement, I honour the lineage of traditional yoga while integrating modern functional movement principles and biomechanics. My creative yet technical approach ensures that every class I teach is both physically intelligent and soulfully grounding. Students can expect clear, anatomy-focused guidance, space for inner reflection, wrapped in an uplifting, seamless sequence that challenges the body and settles the mind.
I originally turned to yoga to ease repetitive strain, and injuries caused by a life time of training as a professional athlete. Instantly touched by the feeling of lightness, space and contentment in the body, I soon realised my yoga practice was affecting me in a profound way, beyond the physical and physiological benefits.
I teach intuitively, anatomically informed, creative vinyasa and hatha yoga. My teaching is direct, focused on breath awareness, optimal alignment and muscular engagement aiming to guide my students into precise, yet effortless movement. Awareness of the body, equanimity of the mind and deeper inward reflection are core to my teaching.
With an endless curiosity and a daily asana, meditation and pranayama practice, I have studied (500RYT) and continue to study, at an advanced level, under Jason Crandell, Donna Farhi and Jean Hall.
I teach public classes at triyoga
I offer private small group and one-to-one yoga tuition. This is a wonderful way to personalise the yoga practice for each individual’s needs and circumstances while supporting the learning at a pace that is optimum for each student.
